Resume Dos and Don't

*Don’t use unusual or inappropriate email addresses. Keep it professional like first.last name@yahoo.com
*Avoid generic phrases like “looking for a stable company that will allow me to grow to my full potential.” Be specific about your reason for apply for that specific field or your specific goals.
*Don’t rely on spell-check. Have your friends, relatives, or co-workers review your resume. Spell-check will miss real word with improper  places “on” instead of “no.”
*Don’t use a generic resume. Take the time to edit your resume to the opening. Find keys words in the job listing. The more you can pull in your resume the better chance you have in getting your resume selected.
*Do keep the format basic. Use plain white with standard font Arial, Times New Roman and size 10 to 12.
*Do your best to limit your resume to one page.
*Do copy and paste your resume into notepad, which can be found under all programs>accessories>notepad, before uploading it. This will show any format issues when you have to copy and paste on the website. It is also best if the company site allow to copy and paste your resume and cover letter  not a recruiters take the time to download your document if you attach it.
*Don’t repeat your resume in your cover letter.
