•Prepares and executes plans utilizing application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to test, develop and validate HVAC/PTC Systems to customer performance requirements.
•Conducts performance test on automotive HVAC/PTC Systems.
•Verify test objectives and formulate effective test plans in coordination with product engineers and/or possibly outside customers directly.
•Directs technical personnel in fabrication/modification of components, testing and test-control apparatus and equipments.
•Directs and coordinates engineering activities regarding development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, telemeter, record, and reduce test data.
•Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted as well as sequences and phases of test operations.
• Directs and exercises control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
•Confers engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems, for example product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, and data interpretation, considering such factors as conditions under which test was conducted and instrumentation, procedures, and phase of test used to obtain and record data.
Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.
• Provide engineering support to insure a successful program launch.•Use of standard engineering and mathematical concepts and principles in development and testing of HVAC/PTC components and systems for vehicle applications.
• Planning , organization and execution to specific engineering performance requirements.
•Interaction with project engineers as a member of an engineering PDT.
Manage maintenance and update of test equipment.
Qualifications And Skills Required
Bachelors Degree Required
BSME and 3 years HVAC and/or PTC test experience.
Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
Knowledge of engineering, science, and mathematics fundamentals.
Skill in the use of routine laboratory equipment.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals.
Ability to build and test HVAC/PTC Systems and components.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Bilingual English/Japanese language skills is most desirable.
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Has functional knowledge of HVAC/PTC Systems.
Understands customer requirements (quality and timing).
Has overall understanding of vehicle packaging/architecture and integration.
Understands future product and process technology.
Fundamental knowledge of planning, scheduling and controlling.
Problem solving skills.
