The Community Outreach Marketing Director primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:
The Community Outreach Marketing Director primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:
· Creates and builds relationships with discharge planners, physicians, nurses, case managers, referral coordinators and social workers to garner referrals to increase the IMH census. All contacts with the professional referral sources are accurately documented on the daily tracking forms..
· Coordinates attendance in programs, seasonal events and community activities that increase the awareness of IMH’s services.
· Responsible for meeting the community’s sales and occupancy levels in accordance with the marketing plan. Results will be achieved through strategic networking with area professionals, including but not limited to: presentations at both the community and the surrounding community at –large, community tours, follow-up telephone calls and appointments to keep the professionals informed
· Pre-qualifies sources of professional referrals to determine their ability to send qualified potential residents to the community. Identity’s those key decision makers and communicates with those involved in making referrals to community.
· Responsible for preparation and implementation of the marketing plan which will detail the planned and actual contracts made with professional referral sources. Will schedule sufficient activity to generate the number of referral leads as outlined in the marketing plan
· Participate in local organizations identified as bringing value, by making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate, in order to facilitate a broader knowledge of the industry and of the community’s capabilities.
· Manages community/public relations to include health fairs, screenings, community educations programs and outreach
· Keeps updated about relevant operational, competitive and company information, in order to respond effectively to inquiries from contacts and convey community message
· Develops a formal community relations strategy to be incorporated in the annual community marketing plan, in conjunction with the appropriate IMH Marketing staff and the Community Director or Administrator
· Adheres to LCS marketing guidelines
Other responsibilities include:
- Develops and implements special events and presentations targeted as community education, establishing and maintaining status for the community as the premier provider of retirement living
- Prepares weekly update of actual referral activity on the marketing plan.
- Assists the Director, Marketing Staff and the appropriate IMH staff in the development of collateral materials, press releases and advertising as needed.
- Completes weekly reports along with other community marketing staff members.
- Attends in-service training and education session as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by direct supervision or administration.
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications, skills and abilities:
- Ability to create, maintain and develop personal relationships by adapting to various personality types and earn trust.
- Ability to manage geographic territory for efficiency.
- Ability to manage time.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Must be able to use presentation, graphic, word processing, database, and spreadsheet software effectively.
- Must communicate effectively, accurately, and clearly, both orally and in writing, complex and/or technical information to a wide variety of audiences.
- Must understand and have a working knowledge of how the Health Care Industry works and how IMH Health Care Services can best apply in varying situations.
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate and present in person, in writing, and on the telephone ffectively with both large and small groups in English.
- Some college preferred. Minimum two (2) years experience in sales, preferably external marketing, with demonstrated results.
- Skill in use of computer software including MS-Word.
- Must be able to generate a warm, friendly and caring manner on first impression.
- Position requires frequent (daily), local off-property travel. Must possess reliable transportation.
- Must be familiar with and adhere to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations in all aspects of the job including ales presentations and marketing materials.
