Indiana Masonic Home is currently accepting applications for the following position:

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


The Indiana Masonic Home is a continuing care retirement community that offers current and future residents several lifestyles. Our facility includes a state-of-the art MedicalCenter, Assisted Living Quarters, Residential Apartments and Independent Living Duplex Homes on 400 acres. Indiana Masonic Home is located in Franklin, Indiana, just 20 miles south of Indianapolis, Indiana.



JOB SUMMARY
Administers, directs and coordinates all activities of the Indiana Masonic Home, Inc., under the direction of the Indiana Masonic Home, Inc. Board of Directors.


PRIMARY DUTIES
· Responsible for the operation of the Home, for the application and implementation of established policies and for liaison between the Board of Directors, the Department Directors of the Home and the Medical Staff.
· Organize the functions of the Home through appropriate departmentalization and the delegation of duties.
· Establish formal means of accountability for those to whom he has assigned duties.
· Regularly schedules staff meetings and other meetings as required to maintain liaison between departments.
· Prepares reports for, and attends meetings with the Board of Directors regarding the total activities of the institution. As well as governmental developments which affect the health care.
· Provides for personnel policies and practices that adequately support sound patient care and maintain accurate and complete personnel records.
· Reviews and acts upon the reports of authorized inspecting agencies.
· Implements the central and effective utilization of physical and financial resources of the Home. Employs a system of responsible accounting, including budget and internal contract.
· Participates, or is represented in Masonic, State or community activities and those professional activities which define. The delivery of health care services and aid in short and long range planning of health services and facilities. Provides for a public relations program.
· Pursues a continuing program of formal and informal education in health care, administrative and management areas. To maintain, strengthen and broaden concepts, philosophy and ability as a health care administrator.
· Delegates administrative responsibilities to administrator’s office staff and to department directors.
· Attend all required inservices.
· Conduct annual performance evaluations of Department Directors and make wage adjustments as appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Home Administration, business or related field.
Health Facility Administrator’s license required.
Experience requirements may vary according to individual background, size of retirement community and section of country.
