RESIDENCY COUNSELOR
The Indiana Masonic Home is a continuing care retirement community that offers current and future residents several lifestyles. Our facility includes a state-of-the art Medical Center, Assisted Living Quarters, Residential Apartments and Independent Living Duplex Homes on 400 acres. Indiana Masonic Home is located in Franklin, Indiana.
The Residency Counselor is responsible for representing the community to prospective residents. The Residency Counselor manages the occupancy process from first inquiry to receipt of deposit to move-in in relation to the representation, negotiation and promotion of the community to that individual.
Duties and Responsibilities
a. Manages the occupancy process from first inquiry to receipt of deposit to move-in in relation to the representation, negotiation and promotion of the community to that individual.
b. Works with the prospective resident, family members and key influencers (physician, attorney, trust officer, as appropriate) to facilitate a timely and beneficial commitment to the community.
c. Responsible for the professional handling of all incoming inquiries.
d. Manages all information relating to the prospective resident/inquiry: communication with administration, communication with direct supervision and accurate documentation of all contact in the Leads Management System.
e. Promotes the occupancy process through ongoing contact with a prospective resident via telephone, personal visits, tours and home visit activities as appropriate.
f. Provides to the Marketing Director and Executive Director marketing planning information about opportunities or challenges, to be used in the development of strategies for maintaining optimal occupancy levels.
g. Fully understands and articulately represents all documents related to residency, including RA, DS, etc.
h. Staffs the office during established hours of operation, which may include evenings and weekends.
i. Responsible for coordinating marketing and community events.
j. Prepares and updates marketing and sales reports as requested.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
a. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with both large and small groups.
b. At least one-year experience in comparable marketing is preferred; education or experience in marketing, public relations, promotions or sales is desirable.
c. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
d. Must have knowledge of and special sensitivity to the needs of the aging.
e. Must have the ability to work independently with self-discipline and self-motivation.
f. Skill in use of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.
g. Skill in the use of Adobe design products such as InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator.
