Franklin WorkOne

  Staff can schedule you for any of the following:
  • Orientation: Learn how to access all the services at WorkOne. Find out about e-learning through Mindleaders – Learn about Indiana Career Explorer and INShape Indiana.   Schedule other activities from the WorkOne calendar.
  • Indiana Career Connect  Resume Basics:  No Resume? Complete your registration in Indiana Career Connect job matching system.   Have access to employers – build a resume – search for jobs. Learn everything ICC has to offer.  You must be registered in Indiana Career Connect with your basic profile 
  •  Job Search:  A full day of job search information:  Skills Identification - Interviews - Applications - Cover Letters -Resumes - and more!
§  Resume Clinic:  Is your existing resume ailing?  Bring in your current resume for individual critique on formatting and style.    You must have an existing resume to bring with you.     If you do not have a resume - please attend the Indiana Career Connect Resume Basics. 
  • Interview Clinic:  Getting interviews, but no offers?  Improve your technique. This workshop is follow up to the all day Job Search.
Franklin WorkOne workshop facilitators have professional certifications
 in resume writing and interviewing.
 
  • WorkKeys:  Participate in WorkKeys testing and earn a National Career Readiness Certificate.  Be more competitive in your job search! You must complete WorkKeys to be part of our job ready pool.
  • GED classes: Talk to WorkOne staff about GED classes – increase your math & reading skills - get your GED.  You must attend the Central Nine GED orientation. Call Central Nine at 882-2088 to register.  
  • TABE:  Test of Adult Basic Education.  This assessment will evaluate your basic skills and is a helpful tool in determining your success in a training program.   This is a required activity if interested in training.
  • Basic Computer Classes:  Learn to use a mouse, copy and paste, set up an email – all to help in your job search. 
·   Job Club:   Join others in their job search efforts – share ideas – solve problems – talk to your counselor to get started
·   Unemployment Overview:   New to unemployment?  Learn the new laws, learn how to read the screen, avoid mistake
·         Youth Orientation:  Are you an out-of-school youth age 18 to 21?  Do you know of a youth who could benefit from individualized employment counseling and placement assistance?  Interested in training?
